How MT5 connects

  1. 1Download TradeAquila-Monitor-Setup.exe from Add an account. It installs the monitor into every MetaTrader 4 and 5 on the PC and registers your key — nothing to paste in the terminal later.
  2. 2In MT5: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, allow algorithmic trading and add https://tradeaquila.com to the WebRequest list. MetaTrader encrypts that list; it is the one step no installer can do for you.
  3. 3Drag TradeAquilaMonitor onto any chart, tick Allow Algo Trading, OK. A smiley appears and your data is flowing.

What TradeAquila reads

  • Balance, equity, margin, free margin and margin level
  • Open positions with SL, TP, floating profit and swap
  • Every closed deal, deduped by ticket, with commission and swap
  • Net deposits, so drawdown is measured on money you actually risked
  • The last 90 days of closed trades, backfilled on the first push

What it never does

  • Open a trade — the EA has no entry logic at all
  • Ask for your investor or master password
  • Change anything in your terminal beyond its own chart

It records while the terminal runs. Trades closed while it was off are picked up on reconnect; the live equity curve keeps the gap. A VPS keeps it awake.

Optional close-only control from the dashboard: it can flatten a position you ask it to, never open one.
